This is an amazing neighborhood grocery store with an amazing staff and a great selection of goods for its size. Maybe the best meat counter in Royal Oak and a surprisingly robust wine and beer section. Delicious prepared foods for when you're in a pinch. I've shopped here at least twice a week for two years and have never had a bad experience. Keep up the great work!

This store has saved me more times than I can count haha anytime I'm in the middle of a recipe and realize I'm out of something, this is my first stop! The store is always clean and they have a nice selection of produce and dry goods. They have a great meat counter and prepared foods section. The staff is always super friendly too!

Awesome meat counter. Can get in and out of the store quickly. Prices are a bit higher, but the convenience is worth it.

I love this little hometown market! They have everything you could need from groceries, cleaning supplies, frozen items and a deli. The meat counter is fantastic, we love buying steak here. It's always fresh, good quality and a fair price. They also have a fresh produce section with some pre-cut options for fruits/veggies as well. It is slightly more expensive than your big box grocers, but you're getting good produce and it's far less crowded. When I shop, I only buy a few days worth of food/ingredients, so I probably frequent Fresh Approach several times a week. I've also run out of dish soap, laundry detergent or needed something small last minute, and I know I can get in and out extremely quick here. They also have a good variety of seltzers, beers and wine! They carry one of my summer favorites, Notorious Pink, and it's the only place I can find it. Some smaller stores will totally price gouge you on wine and I've never found this to be the case here.

I love my little market. Go to the deli area and grab some ribs. Wowzaa they are amazing. They so good! So many fresh items to chose from. They also have a membership club so you can earn pints with each purchase. The employees are top notch and make you feel like you matter! I go here at least a few times a week. It is easy to get in and out. They repaved the parking lot this last summer. They have a good selection of beer and liquid

This is a decent size market in town, it has a nice selection of meats and basic grocery items. It's a shop I tend to visit if I am driving by, as it's not as specialized as others in the area. I decided to stop by and see what I could find to put together a quick charcuterie pack for my parents. Focused on some goat cheese for my s-dad, since he's avoiding cow's milk. I get it. Found some other items for my mother too. As far as I know, it's a one-off. Only one checkout opened, yeah, second guy came to help out since there were 4 of us in line. Staff are always pleasant. I also prefer shopping local and the smaller shops since the lines can be pure madness at the big box stores for just a few items. Seems inane to stand in line for 15-30 minutes at peak hours for a few handful of items. Made a decent start to my charcuterie pack at least.

I'm not old enough to remember what it was like to have a separate butcher, grocery, dairy person etc. So at least when you know that I'm leaving this review I'm not "ancient". My husband and I moved in quite literally two streets down from Fresh Market three years ago. I feel compelled to write a review now because as a local business owner myself I know that people are always willing to leave a review when things are bad, but not usually with such frequency when they're good. This place is good every time. I cannot tell you how comforting it is to have quite a "Pleasantville" movie type grocery store right around the corner from us. Every time we come in the butcher offers to cut us choice meat if we want to, or recommend something great for dinner and even tell me how to cook it. Because I am literally the worst wife and Will GrubHub my husband dinner until the day we die before cooking it at the end of a really long day. Honestly in a world where people are THE worst, they ( employees and management ) never fail to have smiles on their faces, they recognize both of us and say hello and ask us questions about our week. They don't even laugh at me too much when my grocery cart looks like something out of a six-year-old -dumpster fire -snack food binge... truly a time capsule of customer service. The prices are fair, and can you get cheaper prices at Kroger? Sure, however minimally and it's 3 miles away and full of people I don't care to share my Harry Potter PJs with.
